Over from Ireland was a colleague of mine – Pat Murray – who I met at Galway University in 1996.
It was nice to hear a native speaker addressing the classroom. The students also enjoyed hearing some interesting facts about his native country. The pupils from class 6e really liked Pat’s comments on Irish life. They even learned some Irish phrases from him.
